Avery Ag Events – Round Robin Sorting Rules & Regulations

GENERAL RULES

  1. All participants must complete registration and sign the liability waiver before competing.

  2. Riders are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and sportsmanlike manner toward contestants, staff, spectators, cattle, and livestock handlers at all times.

  3. Excessive roughness, abuse of livestock, abusive language, or unsportsmanlike conduct may result in disqualification without refund.

  4. Avery Ag Events reserves the right to refuse or remove any contestant, horse, or spectator deemed unsafe or disruptive.

ROUND ROBIN FORMAT

  1. This event will be run in a Round Robin format.

  2. Riders will be randomly drawn into teams and rounds using event software and/or event staff draw procedures.

  3. Riders will compete through multiple rounds, accumulating scores/times throughout the event.

  4. Placings will be determined by official event scoring at the conclusion of competition.

  5. Event staff decisions are final.

OPEN CLASS

  • $200 Per Rider

  • Limited to FIRST 20 Riders entered and paid

  • 50% payout format

  • Counts toward Avery Ag Events season points standings

YOUTH CLASS

  • $10 Per Ride

  • Maximum 5 rides per rider

  • Run following conclusion of Open Sorting

  • Using 5 cattle per run

CATTLE & ARENA RULES

  1. Contestants acknowledge that HORNED CATTLE will be used during this event.

  2. Due to current cattle market conditions, contestants understand and accept that horned cattle are necessary for event operations.

  3. If a contestant is uncomfortable sorting horned cattle, they should not enter the event.

  4. Any intentional abuse or unnecessary rough handling of cattle will result in immediate disqualification.

  5. Contestants must make every effort to maintain safe cattle flow and gate operation during competition.

ARENA & EQUIPMENT

  1. No alcohol or illegal substances permitted in the arena or warm-up areas.

  2. Riders under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be removed immediately.

  3. Proper western riding tack is recommended.

  4. Avery Ag Events is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged equipment or property.

EVENT OPERATIONS

  1. Rider check-in closes prior to opening ceremonies.

  2. Draws and competition order will be finalized after registration closes.

  3. Avery Ag Events reserves the right to combine, modify, delay, or cancel classes due to weather, cattle conditions, participation numbers, or safety concerns.

  4. No refunds unless approved by event management.

  5. By entering this event, contestants agree to all rules and regulations listed above.
