WELCOME TO AVERY AG EVENTS

Welcome to the home of Avery County’s newest hub for year-round western, agricultural, and equine entertainment.

Located at the Avery County Agricultural Center at Heritage Park in Newland, North Carolina, Avery Ag Events was created to bring consistent, family-friendly competition and livestock-based events back to the High Country — giving local riders, farmers, ranchers, and spectators a place to gather all season long.

From barrel racing, pole bending, ranch sorting, team penning, roping and jackpot events to the annual Avery County Rodeo Showdown, Avery Ag Events is designed to showcase the western lifestyle while supporting agriculture, horsemanship, and community involvement throughout Avery County.

With multiple events scheduled across the 2026 season, competitors and fans can expect an exciting lineup of action, affordable family entertainment, and opportunities for all ages to participate.

Whether you're entering the arena or cheering from the fence, we invite you to be part of something built for Avery County and built to grow for years to come.
